Tomiño
is situated in Galicia, the westernmost province of Spain.
It is famous for its unspoilt Atlantic beaches (the Costa Verde), a wide range of superb white Albarino wines, fish and seafood on the coast, to the heartier red wine and meat inland.
The town Tomiño is situated in the most Southern point of Galicia, its neighborhood Vilachán has a beautiful mountainous countryside, covered with the vines of Altos de Torona vineyard.
From here you can also enjoy unforgettable views towards Portuguese mountains and the river Miño, which forms the natural border between Galicia and Portugal.
The river is suitable for all types of water sport, such as canoeing and waterskiing. Small pleasure boats cruise the Miño during the summer months.
The countryside of Tomiño gives opportunity for relaxing activities such as trekking and mountain biking.
Tomiño is a lively market town (each Wednesday) which is well furnished with shops, restaurants and bars especially in the town square, in front of the city hall.
