And last but not least
a paradise between valleys, rivers and hills.
Tomiño, in the province Pontevedra, belongs to the Baixa Miño region.
The riches of this region are the beautiful, green lanscapes, its sheltered warm climate, feasts & fairs and a hearty gastronomy with the ‘Rias Baixas’ Denomination of Origin wines, a must on any table.
Tomiño lies under the shelter of several mountains and is located in the heart of the Miño valley, a borderland of Spain with Portugal, facing the ‘miñoto’ (named after the Miňo river) landscape with the charm of the country side.
On the close by river you find water sports, such as canoeing and water skiing.
Small pleasure boats also cruise the Miño during the summer allowing another aspect to this geographical panorama.
Along both sides of the river you find many km of well maintained foot- and bicycle paths.
